Join a workspace via email invitation

Note: The link in the mail invite is valid for 7 days. After this time, you should ask the Admin or Manager level user to resend you an invite.
Important: If you are certain you should have received an invitation but you cannot find the email in your inbox, please read "Issues receiving emails from EMDESK".

Follow the instructions below on how to join a project workspace via email invitation.

Check the inbox of the email address the invitation email was sent to, open this email.

Click Let's go or the link contained within the email invite, it's also possible to copy paste the link into your browser.

The "Create a new Account" window will appear:

Important: If you already have an EMDESK account, the "Login" window will appear instead – just enter your EMDESK login data to join the project workspace. If you have an EMDESK account, but still the "Create a new Account" window appears – click Sign in and  enter your EMDESK login data to join the project workspace. If you have any issues with this please read " Login Issues".
  • Enter your email address – this email address will be your primary email address and will always be the one you use to login to your account (unless you change the primary email address).
Tip: It is possible to add further email addresses to your account in your account settings.
  • Choose a password – minimum 6 characters, must contain numbers, small and uppercase letters, and can't be the same as the email address.
  • Retype the password.
  • Tick the first checkbox to agree to the Terms of Service.
  • Tick the second checkbox if you wish to receive emailed news about EMDESK (opt out any time by clicking the "Unsubscribe" link at the bottom of our emails).
  • Click Sign up button.

The "Email validation pending" window will appear

  • Check your email for the six-digit code.
  • Copy paste code into the code field in the "Check your inbox" window (the code is valid for 24 hours, then you need to use the "Resend Email" button).
  • Click Activate to activate your account.
Tip:
  • No email? Make sure you check the inbox of the email address you have provided or click the "Resend" button. Or read "Issues receiving emails from EMDESK".
  • Accidentally closed this window? We will redirect you to the "Check your inbox" window every time you attempt to log in until your account is validated.
  • If you try to create an account with an email address already registered, we will send a password reset email instead. Read "Login issues" for further assistance.

The "Welcome to EMDESK!" window will appear:

  • Click the "Camera" icon to set your profile picture (can be added later).
  • Set the name, organization, and job title for your profile.
  • Click Continue.

You will now be taken directly into the project workspace. Any other invites send to your email address will be then automatically recognised and your account will be linked to the relevant project workspace(s).
