Duplicate projects, activities, and events
💡 Note:
To duplicate projects, activities, or events, you must:
- Have Manage rights for the Workplan or the respective parent activity (see Roles, access levels, and access rights)
- Ensure the current plan version is in Edit mode (see Manage workspace plan versions)
What gets copied
- The copy is added at the end of the same parent list (for a project: at the end of the Workplan), and (Copy) is added to its name.
- If the project or activity has sub-activities or events, EMDESK asks: Do you wish to duplicate the item along with all its sub-activities and sub-events?
- Yes: copies the item with everything below it; every copied item gets (Copy) added to its name. Larger branches can take a moment (Duplicating... Please wait.).
- No: copies only the item itself, without its sub-activities and events.
- Cancel: nothing is copied.
- A copy of a locked item is not locked.
