Mailing list option for groups
A group can have its own mailing list. Every email sent to the group's address, e.g. wp3-team@groups.emdesk.com, is delivered to the group members. You send and receive these emails in your normal email program.
Switching on the mailing list
- Open Groups and click the group. (You need to be an Admin, a Manager or the Group Manager.)
- Switch on Enable Group Mail and enter the part before @groups.emdesk.com in Email Address, e.g. wp3-team. The address must be unique.
- Click Save Group.

Who can send and receive
With the mailing list switched on, the Members tab shows two checkboxes per member:
- Send: the member may send emails to the list.
- Receive: the member gets the emails sent to the list.
New members get both. At least one member must have Send and one Receive. To let someone send without receiving the list's emails, add them to the group and untick Receive.
Sending to the list
- Send the email from the address in your EMDESK profile for this workspace. Emails from other addresses or aliases are rejected.
- Only members with Send can post. People outside the group cannot send to the list.
- You do not receive a copy of your own email. To test the list, check another member's inbox.
- If a member's address keeps bouncing, delivery to this member is paused automatically.
