Manage access rights for an element in the sidebar

Note: To manage access rights, you must be an Admin or a Manager level user (see 'Roles, access levels, and access rights'). User roles can only be set in the 'User' section. 

You can manage access rights of users and groups for the element types Activities, Events, Participants, and Folders using the 'Access' tab in a sidebar. Click here to see how to manage roles and access rights in the 'User section'.

Follow the instructions below on how to manage access rights for an element in the sidebar.


Open the element in the sidebar by clicking on it or the  Edit option in the action menu.


Select the 'Access' tab at the top of the sidebar.


At the user or group, use the option field in the 'Access Rights' column to update the access rights for all elements of this type.

Tip: Use the search field in the table header to find users or groups.
Note: When you select 'Manage All', 'Edit All', 'Read All' or 'Off', you set the the access right for all elements of this type (e.g. all Activities). To set separate access rights for the specific element only (e.g. SP 1), first choose 'Custom' and then select among the access rights options.

Tip: In the 'Access' tab you can also add and remove others as followers of this element by clicking Follow icon at the user or group. Users or group members will then be notified about changes and updates on this element.
