Activity stream (action log)

The Activity Stream is a chronological log of the actions and changes made to items in your workspace (also called a change log, audit log, or change history). There is one workspace-wide stream for all items, and an abbreviated stream in the sidebar of each individual item.

The workspace-wide Activity Stream

Click the Activity Stream icon in the top bar.

You'll see every action and change made to items you have at least read access to, grouped by week with the most recent first. Click a blue link in an entry to open the related item in a sidebar.

Click Filter at the top right to filter the stream by Type, User, and a date range.

Item-specific Activity Stream

Every item, for example an activity, participant, budget item or folder, has its own Activity Stream in its sidebar. It shows only the actions and changes made to that item.

1. Open the item in its sidebar and click the Activity Stream tab at the top.

2. Click Filter to narrow the log down. Under Filter logs by date range, choose From and To dates.
3. Under Also show logs for, switch on what else should be included, then click Apply:
   • Sub-Activities, Sub-Participants or Sub-Folders: the log also shows changes made to all items below this one, e.g. the tasks, deliverables and milestones of a work package, or the staff members of a partner.
   • Resources (activities and participants only): the log also shows changes to the budget items, expenses and tracked time of this item, e.g. who changed a budget item or reported an expense for this work package.

With Resources switched on, budget and expense changes appear in the stream of the item:

Recent activities on the Dashboard

Your Dashboard also shows a Recent Activities tab with your latest activity stream entries. Click Open Activity Stream there to jump to the full workspace-wide stream.
