Microsoft OneDrive / SharePoint integration

To attach files to tasks, participants, or budget items, you can use your OneDrive or SharePoint document repository. This option is available for the following work item types:

  • Activities
  • Events, e.g. deliverables or milestones
  • Participants
  • Budget items
  • Expense records

Note:

  • To attach OneDrive / SharePoint files to a workspace item, you must have at least Read access rights to this item (see "Roles, access levels, and access rights").
  • You can authorize one OneDrive or SharePoint account per user per Workspace.
  • The data in your OneDrive or SharePoint account will not be available to anyone else through EMDESK. If you attach files from OneDrive or SharePoint to an item in EMDESK, you must make also sure to grant sufficient access to the data in your OneDrive or SharePoint account.

Follow the instructions below on how to attach OneDrive / SharePoint files to a project item.

Open the item's sidebar by clicking it once.

In the sidebar, go to the "Documents" tab and click the "Attach Onedrive" button at the bottom.

Enter your Microsofr login data (email address and password) to sign in to Microsoft.

Click Accept to allow EMDESK to access your OneDrive files.

The Onedrive window will appear, select the file you would like to attach and click Select.

The file is attached to the project item. Attached documents appear in chronological order, the new ones at the top.

To open the attached file, hover over it and click the "Enter" icon.


To delete the attached file, hover over it and click the "X" icon.
