Working with in-app tabs (tab bar)

With the in-app tab feature you can work across several views at the same time and save them in tabs. It works similar to web browser tabs. Normal and pinned tabs are linked to your account and cannot be seen/accessed by other project users.

You can find the app-in tab feature between the blue header bar and main workspace to the right of the home tab.

Open a view in a tab

You can open a view in tab, navigate within the tab, switch to another tab, and come back to the tab.

1

Click the + tab to the right of the home or last tab to open up a new tab.

The current view is now opened within a new tab.

2

Then navigate within the tab to the desired section or view. You can now switch to another tab. When leaving the tab, the last page is stored in the tab.

Note: Unpinned tabs are lost, next time you log in.

Create and pin a tab

You can save a tab with its current view by pinning the tab to the tab bar. The tab is then saved and will load the content next time you log in.

1

Click the + tab to the right of the home or last tab to open up a new tab.

2

Then navigate within the tab to the desired section or view.

3

Click the Pin icon to pin a tab with its view to the tab menu.

Defined and updated filters, columns and sorting are retained in the tab.

When leaving a pinned tab, the pinned view with its last state is stored in the tab. The pinned tab is loaded next time you login.

Click the  Pin icon again at a pinned tab to unpin the tab. Unpinned tabs are lost, next time you log in.

Tip: Double click a pinned tab to rename it.

The tab name becomes editable. Click the Save icon to save the new tab name.

Note: When opening a new section or view within a pinned tab, a new tab is opened automatically.

Remove (pinned) tabs

Hover over the tab and click the Cross icon to close a tab. For pinned tab you will be prompted to confirm its removal.
